Trick-or-Treating

The girls were by themselves this year for trick-or-treating. Aslan was invited over Dylan's house (who were so excited to see each other, that they got too busy playing and didn't want to trick-or-treat). Rodger was speaking at a men's retreat so, the girls had the night to ourselves.
The streets were packed this year and we were bombarded by hoards of kids every time we went to a door. The girls held their own and used very good manners. (Makes a momma proud!) We made sure to head to grandma's house and made it there right before she ran out of candy. She told us that within one hour she was out of candy. We had a great time and really enjoyed seeing all our neighbors.
One compelling thought: I always think how sad it is that this is the one time of year neighborhoods do something together. A night that I would rather not celebrate. I don't like passing up an opportunity to connect with neighbors.

Sea World with Aunt Stacey, Uncle Jason, & Aidan

We have Sea World Fun Pass for our family and wanted to go and enjoy the Halloween Spooktacular. We went with Stacey, Jason, and Aidan and we had a great time. Rodger found us a great deal on Expedia to stay in a three bedroom suite with the Floridays Resort. It was beautiful and we loved all being together.
I love spending time with my family and wish it could always last longer than it does.

Fall Fun Fest

My little scaries!!! Woodlawn Elementary had their Fall Fun Fest and Aslan's class was in charge of face painting. So, while I was manning the booth, Daddy took the crew around to play games. They had a blast and won several prizes. The girls loved getting their faces painted and the "play teeth" were a big hit!!!

Kid's Day at Florida Hospital

Florida Hospital held a kid's day fair on their premises. We were invited to go because Aslan would be doing an exhibition with Martial Arts America. It was a neat day because Grandma, Uncle Ed, and even Aunt Debbie were able to come and see Aslan. Despite how hot it was we had a good time.

Paneecakes

One Saturday morning, I was cooking the girls pancakes and Corin was very excited. We don't have pancakes that often and she had to sing about it! She kept calling them "paneecakes" and she wanted three. So her little song went something like this..."I want 3 I want 3 I want 3 paneecakes." It was too cute. Oh the joy of pancakes!!!!
